GDS Mentorship Program
Dreaming of becoming a HubSpot pro? We've got a fantastic opportunity for you to earn your certifications and gain hands-on experience, all while being guided and cheered on by our experienced HubSpot mentors!

Curious about the 'why' behind our Mentorship program?
For over thirty years, Yoel spent his days as an information technology professional, working as a programmer, systems analyst, information center consultant, and a coach for startups and businesses ready to scale.
In the evenings, he loved sharing his knowledge and experience with budding computer professionals in night schools across Canada and Israel. Now that he's retired, he's decided to keep up this important and fulfilling work.
Every year, Growth Driven Solutions welcomes a group of eager HubSpot enthusiasts, giving them the chance to learn from seasoned pros while gaining real-world, hands-on experience to boost their work portfolios and improve their job prospects.
Key benefits of participating in
the GDS Mentorship Program include:
Guided, Real-World Experience
Participating in the GDS HubSpot mentorship program gives you something you don’t get from generic online courses: guided, real-world implementation experience. Instead of just watching videos, you’re configuring a live HubSpot portal under the guidance of someone who does this daily with startups and scaling companies. That means you’re not only learning what the buttons do, you’re learning why we set things up a certain way to drive pipeline, reporting, and revenue results in real businesses like the ones you want to work with.
Employable not just Certified
The program is also structured to make you genuinely employable, not just “certified.” You’ll leave with concrete assets: a configured Smart CRM, documented pipelines, automations, dashboards, and a clear story you can tell in interviews about the systems you’ve built and the problems they solve. Pair that with targeted HubSpot Academy certifications and you stand out from candidates who’ve only completed isolated courses without ever owning the architecture or admin side.
Shortened Learning Curve
Finally, the mentorship element shortens your learning curve dramatically. You can ask nuanced questions, get feedback on your actual configurations, and see how other participants approached the same problem differently. That combination of community, critique, and accountability makes you progress faster, helps you avoid common RevOps mistakes, and gives you a small network of peers working on the same tools and career path you’re aiming for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Program structure & content
How is the 90-day program structured week by week?
Each week you’ll follow a rhythm of self-paced lessons, a short quiz, a hands-on practicum, and a live group session. Everything builds on the previous week so you’re never learning in isolation.
What’s the difference between Course 1 (Smart CRM) and Course 2 (Sales Hub)?
Course 1- CRM Foundations: is all about the data layer: contacts, leads, companies, properties, data quality, and CRM reporting. Course 2, Sales Hub: assumes that foundation is in place and teaches you how to design pipelines, enable a sales team, automate processes, and run sales reporting and forecasting
Do I have to take both courses, or can I join only one
Ideally, you take both so you get the full admin/RevOps picture. If you already have strong CRM fundamentals, you may be able to start with Course 2, but we’ll require you to complete the CRM Foundations course knowledge quiz and practicum exercise to merit an exemption.
How “hands-on” is it versus theory and lectures?
It’s very practical: every subject ends with a practicum where you configure something real in a HubSpot sandbox. The theory is there to give you context, but you’ll spend most of your time actually building.
What exact HubSpot tools and features will I be able to configure by the end?
You’ll be comfortable configuring Smart CRM objects and properties, building views and lists, setting up lead and deal pipelines, creating sequences and workflows, configuring quotes and products, and designing sales dashboards and forecasts. In short, you’ll be able to support a small sales team using HubSpot Sales Hub Professional.
Level, prerequisites & fit
Is this for absolute beginners, or do I need prior HubSpot or CRM experience?
You don’t need prior HubSpot experience; we start from fundamentals. It does help if you’re comfortable with basic spreadsheets and business concepts like leads, deals, and customers.
Will it still be valuable if I’ve already used HubSpot a bit?
Yes. If you’ve only used it as a rep or marketer, this program will show you how to think like an admin/RevOps person and configure the system behind the scenes.
How technical is it? Will we touch APIs or integrations, or is it mostly in-app configuration?
It’s mostly in-app configuration, automation, and reporting. We’ll discuss integrations conceptually, but we won’t do deep coding or API work in this program.
What kind of roles is this geared toward?
It’s designed for future HubSpot admins, RevOps specialists, sales ops, and technically inclined salespeople who want to own the tool. It also works well for founders or early GTM hires who are building their first revenue stack.
Time commitment & workload
How many hours per week should I plan for?
Most people should plan for 5–7 hours per week: a couple of hours of Academy lessons, an hour for the quiz, 2–3 hours for the practicum, and the live session. Some weeks may be lighter or heavier depending on the topic. .
Are the sessions live, recorded, or a mix?
Group sessions are live so you can ask questions and get feedback. When possible, they’re recorded so you can catch up or rewatch.
What happens if I get busy for a week — can I catch up?
Yes, you can catch up by watching the recording and completing the quiz and practicum a bit later. We’ll work with you to make a realistic catch-up plan as long as you communicate early.
How strict are the deadlines for the assignments?
There are target due dates to keep the cohort moving together, but they’re not rigid like a university course. The main expectation is steady progress and honest communication if you fall behind.
Mentorship & support
How often will I get live access to a mentor?
You’ll have a weekly group session where you can ask anything about that week’s topic or your progress. Depending on the cohort, we may also offer limited 1:1 check-ins for deeper questions. Finally you have 24/7 access to the cohort group chat, monitored by the GDS mentor team members.
What kind of feedback will I get on my practicum work?
You’ll receive a rubric-based score plus comments on what you did well and where you can improve. When it makes sense, We’ll also suggest alternative configurations you might not have thought of.
Will I be in a cohort with peers, or is it more self-paced and individual?
You’ll be part of a small cohort, so you’ll see other people’s questions and solutions, not just your own. You still move at your own pace week to week, but the group structure keeps everyone motivated.
Is there a Slack/Discord/WhatsApp group to ask questions between sessions?
Yes, there will be a shared Google Chat space (channel) for your cohort where you can ask questions, share screenshots, and support each other between live calls. We’ll be active there as well.
What happens if I feel stuck or behind — can I get extra help?
Absolutely. You can post in the group, and if needed we can carve out extra time to unblock you or simplify your next steps.
Sandbox, tools & requirements
Will I get access to a dedicated HubSpot sandbox, or do I need my own portal?
To enable participants to access our program learning resources, hosted on Google Classroom and to gain access to our GDS HubSpot Sandbox with Sales Hub Professional you will require a GDS Google Workspace account for the duration of the program. We'll require a payment for the three months (Approximately 6 Euro/Month) payable in advance.
Do I need any paid HubSpot subscription?
No, you don’t have to buy a paid subscription to participate. We’ll design the exercises so you can experience Sales Hub Professional features in a safe way without you personally footing a software bill. See previous response.
What technical setup do I need?
You’ll need a reliable computer, a modern browser, and a stable internet connection. You'll receive a GDS Gmail account for the duration of the program.
Will we integrate with tools like Gmail/Outlook, calendars, Zoom, or LinkedIn?
Yes, we’ll walk through connecting email and calendar, and we’ll discuss where tools like Zoom and LinkedIn fit into a HubSpot-powered sales process.
What happens if I feel stuck or behind — can I get extra help?
Absolutely. You can post in the group, and if needed we can carve out extra time to unblock you or simplify your next steps.
Certifications & outcomes
Which HubSpot Academy certifications will this program prepare me for?
You’ll be in a good position for core certifications like Inbound, Inbound Sales, Sales Hub Software, and Sales Hub Admin, with optional preparation for Reporting, Sales Enablement, and Revenue Operations. The program content is aligned with these exams so your practice work reinforces what you’ll be tested on.
Do we take the certification exams together, or on our own time?
You’ll sit the official exams in your own HubSpot Academy account, usually during the final weeks of the program. We’ll agree on windows for each exam and support you with review sessions and practice.
Will you help with exam prep, practice questions, and retakes?
Yes. We’ll highlight key lessons to revisit, give you practice-style questions, and talk through tricky topics; if you don’t pass on the first try, we’ll help you plan your retake.
Do I get any certificate or badge from your program itself?
Yes, you’ll receive a completion certificate from the program, alongside whatever HubSpot Academy certificates you earn. Your practicum scores and feedback can also be summarized in a short report you can share with employers.
How does this help me in the job market?
You’ll come out with real configuration experience, recognized HubSpot credentials, and tangible examples of your work. That combination is exactly what hiring managers look for in junior HubSpot admins, RevOps analysts, and sales ops roles.
Assessment, quizzes & practicums
How are the quizzes graded, and do they count toward “passing” the program?
Quizzes are auto-scored and mainly there to check understanding before you move on. They factor into your overall progress, but the deeper assessment comes from your practicums.
What does a typical practicum assignment look like?
You’ll get a scenario (for example, “design this sales pipeline” or “build this dashboard”), along with clear requirements and a scoring rubric. You then configure everything in your portal and submit screenshots plus a short explanation.
Do I get example answers or model configurations to compare with?
Yes. After the submission window closes, I’ll often show a “model solution” or a few strong examples from the group (with permission) so you can see different approaches.
Is there a minimum grade I have to maintain to get a completion certificate?
We’ll set a minimum overall score range, but the main goal is competency rather than perfection. If you fall short in one area, you’ll usually have a chance to improve that practicum or demonstrate the skill in a later one.
Are the rubrics strict, or is there flexibility if I do things a slightly different way?
The rubrics set the baseline, but there’s room for thoughtful variations. If your approach is different but well reasoned and technically sound, that’s a positive, not a penalty.
Career & portfolio
Will I finish with a portfolio I can show employers?
Yes. You’ll have configured a full sandbox portal, and we’ll encourage you to capture screenshots and short Loom walkthroughs of your pipelines, automation, and dashboards.
Can you help me position this experience on my CV/LinkedIn?
Definitely. We can suggest specific bullet points, keywords, and ways to describe your projects so they resonate with hiring managers.
Do you offer interview prep for HubSpot admin / RevOps roles?
We can cover common interview questions, scenario prompts, and how to talk through your practicum work in an interview. If the cohort is interested, we can also run a mock-interview style group session.
Is there a minimum grade I have to maintain to get a completion certificate?
We’ll set a minimum overall score range, but the main goal is competency rather than perfection. If you fall short in one area, you’ll usually have a chance to improve that practicum or demonstrate the skill in a later one.
: Can I list you as a reference or get a recommendation if I perform well?
If you complete the program and demonstrate strong work and professionalism, we'll be happy to provide a short recommendation.
Logistics, pricing & policies
What’s the cost for the full 90 days, and can I pay in installments?
Currently we do not charge for participation in our Mentorship program. The one exception is for out-of-pocket expenses where we request to be reimbursed for
Are there scholarships, discounts for students, or early-bird pricing?
Yes, in future when we start requesting an admission fee, we’ll reserve a limited number of discounted spots for students or individuals with financial constraints, and we may offer early-bird pricing for early applicants. You can mention your situation in your application.
What is your refund or withdrawal policy if I have to drop out?
There will be a clear policy that balances fairness with the fact that spots are limited. Typically, partial refunds are possible 30 days before a cohort start date, and after that we focus on deferrals rather than refunds.
How big are the cohorts — will I get enough individual attention?
Cohorts are intentionally small enough for you to get personal feedback on your work. You won’t be just a name on a list; I’ll know who you are and what you’re working on. We currently limit cohort participants to 10.
When does the next cohort start, and how do I apply?
Cohort start dates will be announced in advance so you can plan around them. Essentially every three months or 13 weeks. Fill out our short application form, and we’ll follow up with next steps and timing.
Program expectations & boundaries
What do you expect from me each week?
We expect you to show up consistently (at least 80% of the time), complete the core assignments, and ask for help when you’re stuck. You don’t need to be perfect, but you do need to be engaged and proactive.
How quickly do mentors usually respond to questions between sessions?
You can generally expect a response within one business day, often sooner. For urgent blockers, we’ll prioritize getting you unstuck so your progress doesn’t stall. In addition you will have 24/7 access to the cohort's Google Chat space (channel) shared with all cohort participants and monitored by the GDS Mentorship Program team.
What happens if I miss a live AMA — is there a recording?
Yes, where possible we’ll record the sessions and share the replay. You can watch it on your own time and bring any follow-up questions to the group or in the chat.
Are there any rules around using real client data in the sandbox?
Yes. For privacy and compliance reasons, you should not import any real customer data without explicit permission; we’ll encourage you to use test or anonymized data instead.
